中国作物学会于1964年1月7—17日在北京举行第二届年会。参加会议的代表有114人。会议收到论文363篇,会上宣读和讨论了67篇。本届年会除宣读论文、交流经验外,并以“作物栽培研究工作的方向、任务和方法”为题,进行了专题讨论;结合专题讨论,着重研究了作物栽培研究工作如何积极投入大面积稳产高产农田的问题。
The Chinese Crop Society held its second annual conference in Beijing on January 7-17, 1964. There are 114 delegates attending the meeting. 363 papers were received at the conference, 67 were read and discussed at the conference. In addition to reading the papers and exchanging experiences, this annual conference held a thematic discussion on the topic of “The Direction, Tasks and Methods of Crop Cultivation Research”. In combination with the special discussions, the conference focused on how to actively invest large area in crop cultivation research Stable and high yield farmland problems.
