2006年9月8日,鹤峰县铁炉白族乡各族群众隆重集会,庆祝鹤峰县铁炉白族乡挂牌成立。省人大常委会副主任朱纯宣和省直有关部门负责人,恩施土家族苗族自治州州长周先旺率恩施州祝贺团,鹤峰县委书记、县人大常委主任吴红娅及鹤峰县有关部门负责人,友邻乡镇的佳宾与上千名各族干部群众参加了庆典大会。
