The rare earth and alkali metal halide phase diagram of the study has long been reported. In recent years, research on low-valent rare earth and alkali metal halide complexes and phase diagrams of these systems will be helpful for the discovery of new complexes and new facies and provide the basis for finding new materials. In this paper, the isobaric phase diagram of YbI_2-CsI system at 2 · 10 -6 Torr was studied. YbI_2 was synthesized in the laboratory with a chemical analysis of 99.7% purity and X-ray phase analysis of pure phase with a melting point of 779 ° C.
