评价铁帽的含金性,是迅速、准确找到具有重要经济价值之“铁帽型金矿床”的关键。作者们提出了铁帽含金性评价的矿石微量元素标志:Cu×As(重量%)>0.01时,Au往往大于1克/吨;(Mn+Pb+Zn)>0.5时,Ag大于5克/吨。土壤中微量元素的判別指标为:Cu——300ppm,Pb——40~200ppm,Zn>200ppm,Ag>500ppb。还给出了残余原生硫化物(黄铁矿、磁黄铁矿、黄铜矿、闪锌矿、方铅矿等)和表生矿物(针铁矿、赤铁矿、锰矿物、铜蓝、自然金、粘土矿物、石英等)的微量元素评价标志。最后列出了7个铁帽的评价应用实例。
