19世纪末,随着外国资本主义的入侵,大连被推入资本主义发展的轨道。城市的转型与城市化的推进,资本主义工业的发展,在近代大连产生了一批特殊的新型精英群体。大连的新型精英群由两部分人组成,一部分是爱国工商业者群体,另一部分则是新型知识分子群体。他们自身特点较为鲜明,为捍卫中华民族的文化与国家尊严,激发大连人民的爱国热情,为新文化在大连的传播做出了重要贡献。
In the late 19th century, with the invasion of foreign capitalism, Dalian was pushed into the track of capitalist development. The transformation of cities and the promotion of urbanization and the development of capitalist industries have produced a number of special new elites in modern China. The new elite group in Dalian consists of two parts, one is the patriotic group of industrial and commercial workers while the other is the new intellectual group. Their own characteristics are distinct. In order to safeguard the culture and national dignity of the Chinese nation and arouse the patriotic fervor of the people of Dalian, they have made important contributions to the spread of the new culture in Dalian.
