This article describes the unmanned operation system of a large dump truck used in Japan’s Higashiyama limestone mine. The system was developed by Nippon Mining Co., Ltd. and New Caterpillar-Mitsubishi Co., Ltd. and has been used in CAT777B (85t) dump truck, which has been used in production. The system is capable of operating at high speeds under a variety of climatic conditions. The operating system of the unmanned dump truck has the following properties: 1) The system guides itself without the need for large ground facilities such as wires; 2) The system is weather-friendly, day and night 3) The system consists of a number of components that automatically prevent malfunctions; 4) The system is a system capable of controlling the fleet of vehicles; 5) The system has a learning function for loading locations; 6 ) The system operates at high speeds, with a maximum speed of 30km / h for dump trucks and 10km / h for retractions.
