In the late 1960s, a group of republican peers came to the frontier from cities and received reeducation from poor and poor middle peasants. Some of the educated youth who came to the frontier in Yunnan Province later moved away from the motherland in peacetime for various reasons and enthusiastically crossed the border to join the revolution across the river. These young people, who regard Che Guevara as a spiritual idol, have come to a long-awaited battlefield and have been inevitably undergoing changes in their thoughts and fate when the lofty revolutionary ideal is repressed by the reality of survival in a bullet-pounded projectile.
