The disregard of short stories in the background can be said to be a worldwide literary trend for a long time. Alice Munroe, a Canadian writer called “The Queen of Short Stories,” won the 2013 Nobel Prize for Literature, as if the prospect of a short story was overnight turned out to be clear-cut. Monroe I did not have such expectations. She admitted that many years later, she did not understand why she chose this form of writing and eventually explained her case of writing short stories only. She hopes her award-winning will make people realize that short stories have always been an important form of art, it is necessary to make it restore its original position. In fact, any statement of what is or may be the impact of Monroe’s winning is premature. But with this as an opportunity, we can relate how length and length of novel to inner quality, how writers avoid “abuse and misuse” of their own writing skills, and how to handle the unavoidable problems of traditional and modern writing How to comprehend the intricate relationship between politics and writing, feminism and women’s writing; how to write out the accuracy and universality that Monroe’s work achieves while the writer’s writing touches on the psychological mystery And other issues to make a possible interpretation and discussion.
