九曲金矿位于山东省招远县栾家河乡,矿区总面积5.33平方公里,1930年以后,开采规模逐渐扩大,开采量逐年提高.开矿初期,由于忽视水土保持,任意倾倒的废矿渣使大面积植被遭到破坏,全矿区已堆积废矿渣137.1万立方米,占压植被和耕地1371.6亩,废渣堆的面积已占整个矿区总面积的17.2％。一个接一个的废矿堆成为产沙源地,每遇暴雨,泥沙俱下.1985年8月19日,9号台风袭击
