《汉语口语》是一本老教材了,它是佟秉正先生在20世纪80年代主持编写的,是一本海外的初级汉语教科书。要说这本书真的已经很“老”了,字是繁体字,一些词语和说法也早已显得有些过时,甚至印刷也保持着一种固执,多年保持不变的深蓝色封面,正文还是清秀的手写体,一丝不苟。近二十年来各种内容新颖、设计独特、可操作性很强的新教材层出不穷,但哥伦比亚大学仍在坚持用这本二十多年前的老教材,据说北美还有好几所学校也仍然在用,不少汉语老师甚至对这本“老”书情有独钟,津津乐道。其中原因很多,但最根本的原因还是这本书本身的魅力, “Oral Chinese” is an old teaching material.
