During the winter season in northern China, common residential houses generally have a problem of low indoor temperature due to high energy consumption. One of the main reasons is the poor thermal insulation performance of external walls. In order to gradually change this situation, the Ministry of Construction in 1986 issued the “Civil Building Design Standards for Energy Efficiency (Heating Residential Buildings)”. The standard stipulates that the external protective structure of heating houses in the north must strengthen and improve the insulation performance.
