一张报纸的命运,总是和当地的经济社会发展进程相适应。作为党和人民喉舌的《宜兴日报》,上世纪50年代,在社会主义改造的高潮中诞生;60年代,在困难时期停刊;80年代初,又在改革开放的大潮中复刊。在这风云激荡的半个多世纪中,宜兴报人用真实、全面、客观的报道,宣传党的主张,鼓舞人民斗志,记录历史征程,描绘时代风貌。《宜兴日报》也在这个过程中不断壮大。从无到有,从小到大,从弱到强。从创刊初期的周刊发展到现在的日报,从八开2版发展到对开12版,《宜兴日报》从青涩到成熟。走进新世纪后,她与时俱进,开通了数字报,出刊了城市版,发送了手机报,建起了门户网,经营了会展经济,拍起了微电影……宜兴日报社一直在伴着时代脉搏飞奔。
