表面物理国家重点实验室位于北京中关村,依托于中国科学院物理研究所和半导体研究所,1987年起向国内外开放。实验室主任为中科院物理所研究员王鼎盛,副主任为钟战天（半导体所）和沈电洪（物理所）;学术委员会主任为复旦大学谢希德教授,副主任为林彰达（物理所）和许振嘉（半导体所）。实验室目前有固定研究人员20人（其中高级人员16人）,领导和承担课题研究任务,另有来自国内外的流动研究人员约20人,参加有关课题研究工作,以及高、中级 State Key Laboratory of Surface Physics is located in Zhongguancun, Beijing, relying on the Institute of Physics and the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, since 1987 to domestic and foreign open.
