后现代主义注重在“行动”中证实其美学意义与价值。这也是抛弃传统美学的一个观念,这些观念在行动艺术,装置艺术,观念艺术等等中都有深刻内质的表现。装置艺术则是自由使用各门类艺术手段,表明人类表达思想观念的艺术方式。它本身只是一种触发剂式的媒介,其作用是观者的参与,共鸣,讨论将结果引向一种无形的变化的过程中,这诱发了相当多的后现代艺术的流派和特征。
Postmodernism pays attention to confirming its aesthetic significance and value in “action”. This is also a concept of abandoning the traditional aesthetics, which have deep intrinsic qualities in action art, installation art, conceptual art and so on. Installation art is free to use various types of artistic means to show the artistic way of expressing ideas of mankind. It is itself a trigger medium, the role of which is the engagement and resonance of the viewer, and the discussion leads the result to an intangible change that induces a considerable number of genres and traits of postmodern art.
