硒锑矿是我国在1993年首次发现的新矿物,由于该新矿物在原产状中的粒度极微小(<0.01 mm)及量微,未获得纯净单矿物颗粒或单晶,因而未能测得其精确的晶体结构。几乎同时,笔者在某铀矿床中也发现了该矿物,其粒度较粗大(长0.3~1.0 mm,宽0.05~0.15 mm),且数量较多,用5%醋酸溶液从碳酸盐(方解石)型铀矿石中浸溶获得了十分完整的硒锑矿晶体及其放射状、簇状集合体,并在国内外首次准确地测得其单晶结构。迄今,前人仅曾研究过人工合成化合物Sb_2Se_3的单晶结构。
