The half-life of 36Cl nuclides is 3.01 × 105a. 36Cl mainly originated from three kinds of nuclear reactions: the spallation reaction of high-energy cosmic rays with Ar, K and Ca interaction, the 36Ar (n, p ) 36Cl reaction and underground neutrons cause 35Cl capture reaction. In addition, artificial “nuclear explosions” and the release of 36C1 from nuclear facilities since the 1950s have also become 36Cl hosts in the natural environment in some areas
