１０例高脂血症病人口服鱼油２０碳５烯酸（２．７ｇ／ｄ）３０天，于服药前１天及服药后第３０天进行血小板功能、体外血栓形成（包括血栓干、湿长度和重量）及血脂测定。血小板粘附率由服药前的６２．８％±３．５％降到３７．９％±２．１％。肾上腺诱导血小板聚集由服药前的８５．２％±５．７％下降至２３％±８．１％。体外血栓形成的长度和重量由服药前的８．５４ｃｍ±４．９ｃｍ、１４１．２ｍｇ±３８．２ｍｇ降至２．５ｃｍ±１．２ｃｍ，５７．１ｍｇ±１１．７ｍｇ；血浆胆固醇水平服药后也有下降。这些结果提示２０碳５烯酸是治疗和预防高脂血症及冠心病、血栓形成性疾病有希望的药物。

The plasma cholesterol level also had decline. These results suggest that 20 carbon 5 acid is a promising drug for the treatment and prevention of hyperlipidemia and coronary heart disease and thrombotic diseases.
