博物馆概况马来西亚皇家空军博物馆创立于1985年6月2日,当天也是马来西亚皇家空军成立第27周年纪念日,所以时任马来西亚总参谋长的葛萨理上将亲自为博物馆开馆剪彩。而当时略嫌简陋的展馆就设在吉隆坡近郊新街场空军基地的一个旧机库内。最初展出的飞机只有五架, 分别是英国汉汀公司生产的宪兵司令初级教练机、英国德·哈维兰公司的鸽式运输教练机、澳大利亚政府捐赠的F-86A 佩刀战斗机及苏格兰飞机制造公司的单先锋和双先锋轻型运输机各一架,馆内还展出几台狮子座和吉普赛发动机,以
Museum Overview The Royal Malaysian Air Force Museum was founded on June 2, 1985, the same day as the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the Royal Malaysian Air Force. Therefore, General Ge Sai Li, the chief of general staff of Malaysia, personally cut the ribbon for the opening of the museum. The slightly shabby pavilion was then set up in an old hangar at Airfield Base in New Street, a suburb of Kuala Lumpur.
