对耳鼻咽喉科门诊一些长期原因不明的疼痛，治疗效果又不好的患者寻找正确的诊断和有效的治疗方法时应考虑到精神疾病的可能。介绍１２例患者符合抑郁症诊断标准，进行抗抑郁药治疗均获得十分满意的效果。提示综合医院的耳鼻咽喉科及其他学科的医师应学习有关精神医学知识，了解抑郁症的表现，尤其是驱体症状，以减少抑郁症患者的误诊。
