袁亚湘,数学家。中国科学院院士、中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员。主要研究最优化计算方法。袁亚湘在信赖域法、拟牛顿法和非线性共轭梯度法三个方面取得了突出的贡献。担任《中国科学:数学》主编,Joumal of the Operations Research Society of China主编,以及《运筹学学报》主编。2011年3月当选为美国工业与应用数学学会会士。
Yuan Yaxiang, mathematician. Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Mathematics and Systems Science researcher. The main research optimization calculation method. Yuan Yaxiang has made outstanding contributions in three aspects: trust region method, quasi-Newton method and non-linear conjugate gradient method. He is chief editor of Science in China: Mathematics, chief editor of Joumal of the Operations Research Society of China, and chief editor of Operations Research. In March 2011, he was elected a fellow of the American Institute of Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
