近几个月来,全国各地剧团处在声势浩大的社会主义大跃进中。戏剧工作的面貌改变了,整个戏剧事业呈現出朝气蓬勃的富有社会主义生命力的嶄新局面。目前,在大多数剧团中,政治当了統帅,成員們正向紅透专深迈进。大家提出“日日紅,天天专,立大志,赶先进”的行动口号。上海京剧院、越剧院、人民艺术剧院等团体,在5月下旬举行座谈会,揭露、批判了各种各样的資产阶級名利思想。上海玫瑰滑稽剧团在双反中,平均每人貼了近300张大字报。剧团現在已經改了样子。他們訂出了具体規划,要使全团80%以上的人在3年内成为左派及中左派。云南省滇剧团、昆明市滇剧团的演員曾在3、4月分参加了紅专問题的討論,批評了只专不紅的思想。广东粤剧界曾大张旗鼓地抨击了唯利是圖的“收得主义”,端正了文艺思想,基本改变了剧目混乱的状况。有的剧团在政治挂帅后,接着举办了演員政治輪訓班。江西省在5月分专門召开了会议,解决了职业剧团政治工作中存在的問題。各地剧团在大跃进初期制定的創作規划和演出規划,现在正逐步地完成着。新創作的确数目前很难統計,但从部分材料看来,每一地和每一个剧团都有新創作。比如山东省經过百日奋战,已出現了新剧五百多个,群众創作还不在內?鲜〉木绫敬醋髯苁?约在3000个以上。上海第一季度
