文章以现今江西当代美术创作活动存在的问题,现有人们对传统美术创作错误的、片面的认识以及江西当代美术创作活动形式未能做到与时俱进、因地制宜,美术作品的创作活动逻辑没有创新意识及文化底蕴,美术家的社会身份与创作活动的关系等问题和现状为切入点,论证了由江西省文化厅同意成立的非营利性的、民主的、科学的、面向大众的社会群众团体——江西写生学会,在团结与组织江西省各高校美术教育工作者、社会美术爱好者、艺术研究者、艺术机构、媒体和职业画家为繁荣社会主义文艺、发展先进文化、弘扬主旋律、开展专业性美术写生创作活动研究中的社会功用。
