面对即将到来的“新经济 (或知识经济 )”时代和科学技术日新月异的 2 1世纪 ,中国的农业与食品产业无疑将面临新的机遇和严峻的挑战。我们应当清醒的认识到 ,随着我国加入 WTO和社会主义市场经济的日趋完善 ,特别是全球经济一体化和高新技术产业的飞速发展 ,科学技术已成为现代产业中生产要素的核心 ,知识与经济的结合将日趋紧密。因此 ,无论是产业化经营的中国农业和农产品贮藏加工业 ;还是与农业紧密联系的中国现代食品工业 ,在日趋激烈的全球化市场竞争中 ,未来产业竞争的核心将是人才的竞争 ,是一个产业中拥有具备创新和创业能力、懂技术、会管理、高素质的“知识人量”的竞争。学校是人才培养最主要的场所 ,教育是知识经济中最重要的“产业”之一 ,国民经济建设和产业发展对人才的需求 ,就是学校培养人才的核心目标。食品科学与工程学科是一个集生物、化学、农业、营养、工程和管理等多学科交叉的应用性很强的学科。随着我国农业产业的战略性调整和产业化发展 ,以及我国食品工业的现代化发展 ,农业和食品产业对人才结构与能力 ,特别是人才的知识结构与创新和创业能力已提出了新的要求。因此 ,我国的高等院校在食品科学与工程学科的发展方向 ,特别是在人才培养的知识结构、培养方向与目标上 ,应进?
