山东汶上地区属鲁西南郓城一泗水凹陷带内一次级凹陷,区内官庄组沉积后曾一度上升遭受剥蚀,官庄组中段以上地层缺失或保存不全,仅保存的官庄组中段为一套灰色灰岩、泥灰岩、泥岩夹石膏的湖泊相沉积,官庄组下段为一套紫红色杂色泥岩、泥质粉砂岩、砂岩和砾岩的河流相一浅湖相沉积。山东汶上县上三井钻井揭示地层自上而下为:
The Wenshang area in Shandong Province belongs to a secondary depression within the Sucheng-Surabaya Depression in the southwest of Shandong Province. The area was once eroded after the deposition of the Guanzhuang Formation. However, the strata above the middle of the Guanzhuang Formation were either missing or not preserved. Only the middle part of the Guanzhuang Formation A set of gray limestone, marl and mudstone gypsum lacustrine facies sediments, and the lower part of the Guanzhuang Formation is a set of mauve variegated mudstone, argillaceous siltstone, sandstone and conglomerate rock facies-lacustrine sediments.
