自从《人民日报》“一出戏救活一个剧种”发表以后,短短的30多年间,昆剧不仅已被救活而且有了很大的发展。70年代后期和80年代的前半期,全国先后恢复和重建了6个昆剧院团,从事昆剧的专业人员有近千人。昆剧界获得了《中国戏剧》梅花大奖的演员有18位之多。更可喜的是昆剧在国际舞台上的影响越来越大,威望越来越高。所有这些都说明了原先处在奄奄一息的昆剧,经过两代人的不懈努力,确实发生了巨大的变化,成绩是显而易见的。但是必须看到昆剧还存在着许多问题,昆剧所面临的困难也是巨大而艰难的。培养昆剧观众刻不容缓
