河北省是我国果品的主要产区,果品总产量占全国第二位。其中栗、枣、梨产量占全国首位,苹果、葡萄为第三位。党的十一届三中全会以来,在全省范围内出现了持续不衰的“果树热”,果品产量由8亿kg增长到15多亿kg,成为全国果树生产发展最快的一个省。1986年,又取得全省丰收的好成绩,全省新发展果树187.8万亩,育果苗7.27万亩,果品总产量17.6亿kg(创历史最高水平),果品总产值9.55亿元,占全省林业生产总值的70％以上(见表1、2)。他们的主要措施是:
