福建省贯彻落实党的十六大、十六届四中全会精神,提出了建设海峡两岸经济区、建设“平安福建”的战略部署。公安机关要围绕这个工作大局,坚持政治原则,在对敌斗争、维护国家安全上下功夫;坚持综合治理,在惩治犯罪、驾驭治安局势上下功夫;坚持以人为本,在化解矛盾、处置突发事件上下功夫;坚持执法为民,在严格执法、保障公平正义上下功夫;坚持依法行政,在服务经济、促进改革发展上下功夫;坚持从严治警,在正规化建设、提高战斗力上下功夫,努力为建设海峡两岸经济区和全面建设小康社会创造和谐稳定的社会环境。
