周光召绝不在平凡之列。他是继郭沫若、方毅、卢嘉锡之后的中国科学院第四任院长,是中国首位既是中国科学院院士,同时又是中央委员的院长,他是继李四光、周培源、钱学森、朱光亚之后的中国科学技术协会第五任主席,他还是目前我国担当国外院士最多的科学家。他被国外同行视为中国理论物理学界的代表人物。 Zhou Guangzhao never extraordinary. He is the fourth president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences after Guo Moruo, Fang Yi and Lu Jiaxi, and is the first Chinese president who is both an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a member of the Central Committee. He is the second member of the Chinese sciences following Li Siguang, Zhou Peiyuan, Qian Xuesen and Zhu Guangya Technical Association fifth chairman, he is currently China’s most foreign scientists as scientists. He is regarded as a representative of China’s theoretical physics community by foreign counterparts.
