葛浩文是当代著名的文学翻译家,1961年毕业于加利福尼亚的长滩州立学院,1971年从旧金山大学获得硕士学位,三年后获印第安纳大学中国文学博士学位。此后30多年来,葛浩文笔耕不辍,一直致力于中国文学的教学、研究与翻译工作。在其从事翻译工作的30多年来,将中国大陆和台湾的20多位现当代作家的40余部小说译介到西方世界,为中国现当代文学走出去做出了卓有成效的贡献,葛浩文不仅译著等身,而且其译作翻译质量高,其译作得到了读者的广泛认可和接受。
Ge Haowen is a contemporary well-known literary translator. He graduated from Long Beach State College in California in 1961 and obtained a master’s degree from the University of San Francisco in 1971. After three years, he received a Ph.D. in Chinese literature from Indiana University. After more than 30 years, Ge Haowen pen and writing, has been committed to the teaching of Chinese literature, research and translation work. More than 40 of his more than 30 contemporary Chinese and Chinese writers in Mainland China and Taiwan have been translated to the Western world for more than 30 years in translation work. He has made fruitful contributions to China’s contemporary literature. And so on, and the translation of translation quality is high, the translation has been widely recognized and accepted readers.
