系统总线频率对计算机运行时的整体性能具有举足轻重的影响。一年以前,Intel推出的440BX芯片组将总线频率带入了100MHz时代,使计算机的整体性能得到了大幅提升。最近,台湾VIA(威盛)电子公司推出了真正支持133MHz总线频率的Apollo Pro 133芯片组,标志着133MHz时代的真正到来。 PC Computing中国易用性实验室测试了一款由著名主板制造商艾威公司推出的采用VIA Apollo Pro 133芯片组的主板——VD133。从其支持的处理器、内存以及数据传输速率等各方面来看,VD133较市场上现有的基于BX芯片组的产品在技术上有明显优势。
The system bus frequency has a decisive effect on the overall performance of the computer when it is running. A year ago, Intel introduced 440BX chipset bus frequency into the 100MHz era, so that the overall performance of the computer has been greatly improved. Recently, Taiwan VIA (VIA) Electronics introduced the Apollo Pro 133 chipset that really supports the 133MHz bus frequency, marking the true arrival of 133MHz era. PC Computing China Ease Lab tested a motherboard based on the VIA Apollo Pro 133 chipset, the Virtex 133, from the renowned motherboard maker IW. The VD133 is technologically superior to the existing BX chipset-based products on the market, in terms of its supported processors, memory, and data transfer rates.
