The application of insect pheromone to control pests is a research art that mimics biotech. In the early 1970s, many countries invested a considerable amount of effort in field trials. Due to the lack of understanding of many of the behavioral details of the chemical communication between insects and insects, most of the control effects were insignificant and even unsuccessful. In recent years, people are beginning to realize the importance of the behavioral functions of the natural full components of pheromones and their components. Many chemists have re-studied and discovered the complete “chemical language” of insect pheromones.
