自福州市第一次各界人民代表会议闭幕,迄今巳近三月,在上次会议上,曾充分运用了民主,显示了政府与人民的团结,一致拥护并通过了中共福州市委所提出:关于建设新福州的总方针和任务,且以此为基础,制订了有关市政建设的各种具体决议。今天来看,在这近三个月来的实施过程中,虽经历了不少困难,但在政府和各界人民同心协力下,终于使困难不断被克服,无论生产救济,城乡物资交流,社会治安,市政建设,市容整顿,及文化教育等等方面,都有了显著的成就;使福州市向着新民主主义道路前进,不断在改变着旧的面貌,而出现了新生的景象。当然,这还只能说:新福州建设工作,方在开始。就是说:要将国民党罪恶统治了二十多年,破烂的福州全部改变,还要经过一个艰巨的过程。不过今天这一新生景象与进步,虽是一个开端,却不容忽视,它确为将来进一步建设福州市开辟了道路,更加强固了我们建设新福州的信心与决心,给了我们不 Since the conclusion of the first meeting of people’s congresses of all walks of life in Fuzhou City, we have made full use of democracy at the last meeting in recent March, demonstrating the solidarity between the government and the people and unanimously upheld and adopted the proposal made by the CPC Fuzhou Municipal Committee: Fuzhou, the general guidelines and tasks of building a new Fuzhou, and as a basis for the formulation of a variety of specific decisions on municipal construction.
