A two-phase flow model describing the combustion-to-detonation transition (DDT) of a high charge density gunpowder bed was established. The governing equations were solved using the Maccormack finite difference scheme. Numerical analysis revealed some important features of the DDT process It also analyzes the impact of various factors on the DDT process.
