语义翻译、交际翻译是纽马克翻译理论中的最重要的组成部分,它为翻译实践创新了不同的方向。纽马克翻译理论将文本列为表达功能、信息功能与呼唤功能三种功能,并指出针对不同的文本有不同的翻译方式。本文主要分析纽马克的基本理论,通过案例的具体分析,论证纽马克翻译理论在文本翻译上的应用,揭示了纽马克为我们创新了全新的翻译实践与翻译研究视角。
Semantic translation and communicative translation are the most important components of Newmark’s translation theory. They innovate different directions for translation practice. Newmark’s translation theory lists the texts as three functions of expression, information and calling, and points out that there are different ways of translation for different texts. This article mainly analyzes the basic theory of Newmark, through the concrete analysis of the case, demonstrates the application of Newmark’s translation theory in the textual translation and reveals Newmark’s innovative perspective on translation practice and translation studies.
