In view of the importance of parallel determination of drug concentrations in serum and cells at the time of treatment, in the meantime, it is necessary to develop a rapid and sensitive assay in order to detect the effects of drug administration alone or in combination before and during treatment. This article reports the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) rapid determination of HSV-1,2 type of anti-viral drug sensitivity. Detection conditions Human embryonic lung fibroblasts (HL) grown on 24-well plates were infected with different viral loads of HSV-1 and supernatants were aspirated after 1 to 7 days. Cells were lysed and thawed with 800 μl of distilled water and then incubated with 4.5% NaCl Isotonic, cell contents and supernatant aspirated were separately incubated in guinea pig anti-HSV IgG-coated micropores
