高淳县位于我省西南端,属宁镇扬低山丘陵区,全县总面积750平方公里.现有社场23个,2723个生产队,农业人口360291人.地形东高西低,分为石固圩区和茅山丘陵两个小区.根据1975年林业资源清查,全县木材蓄积最为37298立方米,其中四旁绿化占84.1%,成片林占15.9%.由此可见,四旁植树在我县林业生产中占有重要位置.为掌握四旁绿化的现状及动态,笔者于1982年10月份前后作了一次典型调查,现将结果报告如下:
