爪哇白豆蔻自然结果率很低。经观察,其花粉和柱头的生活力约一天。上午11时左右,其花粉活性最强,花粉发芽率和授粉结果率最高,其次是上午9时;下午13时以后,其花粉的活性逐渐减弱。故人工授粉应在9至13时进行,最佳授粉时间为上午11时左右。授在柱头上的花粉约1个小时左右之后萌发,约6个小时花粉管到达子房。在爪哇白豆蔻开花结果期,保持一定的湿度,使花朵开放时间较长,有利于花粉管顺利到达子房而受精,提高结果率。
