正如《潘天寿画展》前言所说:“潘天寿先生是现代中国画坛的艺术大师”。他最擅长水墨。丹青点染,气势磅礴,笔墨苍劲,风格高奇,意境清新,所以他的画作蜚誉中外,众口赞美,决非偶然。这位为人真诚的艺术大师,正当以充沛的精力为祖国的美术事业作出更大贡献的时候,不幸遭受“四人帮”的残酷迫害,含冤去世,因而中止了他潜力很大的艺术生命。这实在是中国美术界的重大损失。
As the preface of Pan Tianshou’s exhibition states: “Mr. Pan Tianshou is the master of art in the modern Chinese painting society.” He is best at ink. Dan Qing dyed, magnificent, vigorous pen, high-style style, artistic conception, so his paintings renowned at home and abroad, all praise, by no means accidental. At a time when his sincere artistic masters, with their energetic energies making a greater contribution to the art cause of the motherland, unfortunately, suffered the cruel persecution of the “gang of four” and died of unjust retribution, thus terminating his great potential artistic life. This is really a huge loss for the Chinese fine arts community.
