On the 400th anniversary of his death, Shakespeare still deserved to be praised as a great language master and playwright. But he is not the only master of the drama who died in 1616, and is certainly not the only writer who has had a lasting influence on drama. Although less well-known around the world, Tang Xianzu is considered to be China’s greatest playwright and is highly regarded in China, which has a long tradition of literature and drama.
