Determination of biochemical indicators in silicosis experimental studies, especially in the diagnosis of histopathology is an important basis. There are more reports on the biochemical aspects of the biochemical tests, and more on the histopathological observations. However, the measurement of the degree of pathological changes is still rare. King and Belt’s (1945) established a five-tiered classification based on the degree of fibrosis in silicotic lesions to measure the extent of fibrosis progression in silicosis.
