汕头大围地处广东省汕头市中心城区北区,是捍卫汕头经济及政治文化中心的生命线,围内总面积152.99 km~2,堤围总长92.659 km,承担着防御洪水、台风暴潮及围内排涝三大任务。汕头大围达标加固工程共分6个应急堤段,分别为:岐山围梅溪河右岸应急工程、岐山围红莲池和西港河左岸堤防应急工程、鮀浦围大港河右岸堤防应急工程、下蓬围梅溪河左岸应急工程、四千亩围及乌桥岛堤段应急工程、下蓬围海堤及新津河堤防应急工程。
Shantou Tai Wai is located in the northern part of Shantou’s downtown area, Guangdong Province. It is the lifeline of safeguarding the Shantou Economic and Political and Cultural Center. The total area is 152.99 km 2 and the embankment area is 92.659 km. It is responsible for flood prevention, typhoon storm surge and surrounding Drainage three major tasks. Shantou Tai Wai standard reinforcement project is divided into six emergency embankment sections, namely: Qixian Wai Mei River right bank emergency project, Qishan Wai Hung Lake and Xigang River left bank embankment emergency project, Xupuwei Dagang River right bank embankment emergency project, under Pui Wai Meixi River left bank emergency project, four thousand acres Wai Wai Island embankment emergency project, under the Peng Wai seawall and Xinjin River embankment emergency project.
