1957年2月,南京市博物馆的考古工作者在南京中华门外1公里、原南京砖瓦厂东南方的丁甲山北麓,发掘了一座宋代墓葬①。墓葬为竖穴土坑墓(图一),长2.64米、宽1.01米、深1.07米。墓坑上部用长3.2、宽1.6、厚0.12米的四块石板横向封顶(图二)。揭去封顶的石板后即可见木棺,木棺已经朽烂,沿木棺内壁放置有已凝结成块的石灰包。墓中的随葬品很少,计有3件高41~42厘米、口沿上盖有半截砖的橄榄形硬陶韩瓶和1件高39厘米、通体饰缠枝卷草纹的影青瓷梅瓶,分别放置在墓坑
