The 2nd National Conference on Molecular Mechanics and Drug Molecular Design, commissioned by China Chemical Society and organized by Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry and Shanghai Pharmaceuticals, was held at Shanghai Organic Research Institute from November 14 to November 17, 1989. There were 64 colleges and research institutes attended the conference and 120 participants attended the conference. Chinese Chemical Society, Journal of Chemistry, Science Bulletin, Chinese Journal of Pharmacology, Organic Chemistry, China Pharmaceutical Industry magazine, Nature magazine also sent representatives to participate. 94 papers were exchanged at the meeting, involving molecular mechanics, medicine
