大连方言属于胶辽官话,其语音与普通话、甚至辽宁的其他方言都存在较大的差异。受大连地理环境和社会历史发展的影响,大连方言的语音具有以下特点:1.平翘舌音不分:2.元音“o”读成展唇音;3.大连方言的声调与烟台方言和威海方言的声调较为相似。作为一所国际性大都市,大连城市的发展一方面应保持其独有的方言语音,突出个性发展;另一方面也需要积极寻找大连方言与普通话之间的异同点,加强普通话的学习和应用,促进城市健康发展。
