Jilin Province is one of the earliest provinces that cast bronze coins in our country. Due to the small number of castings and the large number of layouts, as well as many ravages of war, the lack of written and in-kind data left many explanations for problems in the long run. Jilin copper added many mysterious colors. According to relevant information, there are two types of copper coins found in Jilin Xinchu, including “when twenty” (two known as surviving) and “fifty” (three known as surviving). Not long ago, I was fortunate enough to find a “jin xin ugly one hundred” copper, the coin is red bronze, 38.2 mm in diameter, 3.6 mm in thickness and weighs 31.1 grams (now know the most current domestic copper, see color Illustrations), the front of the pot cast evergreen pattern and the “Guangxu Tongbao” word, the outer ring beads, the upper edge of “Jilin Province made”, the lower edge of the “one hundred money” “Xin Chou”; the back of the central “sit dragon map”, the upper edge of the cast English writing text “KIRIN”, the lower edge cast Arabic numerals “100” and the English currency unit “CASHES” (upper and lower margin text are cast decorative line Box), left and right sides were divided into Manchu “Qing” (meaning “Qing Dynasty”). Due to long-term flow of this currency folk, bruised, but the text and graphics are still clearly visible, without losing its exquisite charm.
