著名土壤学家,浙江农业大学俞震豫教授,因患肺癌,医治无效,于1993年3月18日19时逝世,终年78岁.俞震豫教授系浙江龙游县人,1941年从浙江大学农学院农业化学系毕业后即去福建省地质土壤调查所从事土壤调查,1950年到浙江省农科所(现浙江省农科院)工作;1955年调浙江农业大学任教.50年代负责浙江省第一次土壤普查技术工作,《浙江土壤志》主编之一.80年代任农业部全国第二次土壤普查科技顾问组华东组副组长,主持浙江省第二次土壤普查技术工作,主编《浙江土壤》 一书,他主持的“浙江省土壤资源调查研究”项目,获1990年省人民政府科技进步一等奖.在1954年—1985年任浙江省土壤肥料学会理事、理事长;1982—1986年任中国土壤学会土壤发生分类和土壤地理专业委员会副主任;1979—1987年任政协浙江省第四、第五届委员.1987年因病退休,但仍任中国农业百科全书土壤卷编委会副主任,该卷总论分支主编.1991年获国务院领发的有突出贡献专家特殊津贴.
Famous soil scientist, Professor Yu Zhenyu of Zhejiang Agricultural University, suffering from lung cancer, treatment invalid, died at 19:00 on March 18, 1993, at the age of 78.
