Some of the cutoff walls at the Cod Baker Dam in Yorkshire, England, are sprinkled with water. This is the first time that Britain has done so. One-third of the cutoff wall (the site of the earth dam’s abutment) will be constructed using a combination of conventional and plate sprinkler irrigation. Framing is achieved by a series of sprinkler columns with a 1m center distance and a fur diameter of 1.2m with a series of plate sprinklers.
