Last winter, I, as usual, carried out a simple cold-proof treatment of potted plants in the courtyard. But unlike in the past, because the yard was set aside to be thrown away some straw (ie, wheat straw), that can be used for antifreeze, and easily placed in which a few pots. After the spring of this year, these flowers are still in place and have never been moved. Recently, I was very concerned about some situations. First, the same watering, wheat straw covered a certain period of time there is no obvious drought performance. The second is the same species, covered with wheat grass growing better. If two pomegranates, one covered, the other did not cover, significantly different growth. Ginkgo is the same pot, this year than last year grew strong. This situation made me very excited and aroused my interest in further observation and reflection. Some time ago, I repeatedly observed for several days in a row, and a few times the grass patrol open inspection, and finally have a preliminary understanding. In the beginning, to give pots cover wheat straw, just to prevent frost, and now it seems to serve one another. 1. Keep basin soil moist. Covered straw flowers, watering when flooding fast, slow evaporation of water, can make basin soil longer
