Archives and artifacts can be called a pair of “twin brothers.” But just as brothers are two people, archives and cultural relics are yours and me, I am with you, and you are different and similar. Archives and cultural relics are both real and material remains of human society’s practical activities. They are testimonies in kind inherited from historical development and are signs of material civilization and spiritual civilization created by our ancestors in various historical periods. From different aspects, they truly and vividly reflect the political, economic, scientific, cultural and social life in different historical stages of development.
