杂交水稻新组合“四优30”是福建省农科院稻麦研究所于一九七五年用V_(41)不育系与IR_(30)株系进行选配、测交、培育成功的.一九七六年冬,永安县首次引进该组合在海南岛制种繁殖,三明地区经过两年来的多点大面积试种,表现株型紧凑、抗病抗虫、穗大粒多、稳产高产、适应性强等优势,在同等自然和栽培条件下,比“四优二号”增产一至二成,一般亩产800斤左右,高的超千斤.特别是该组合叶色淡绿,茎秆粗壮坚韧,不易招虫,抗病、高抗飞虱,秧龄弹性大,是闽西北山区单晚目前推广的较为理想的水稻杂优组合.去年全区试种面积近万亩,今年可扩大到20万亩.
